Welcome! I'm Maryanne Elliott, and after spending over 13 years working with one of the major banks, I made the decision to become a mortgage broker. My passion is helping first home buyers like you navigate the home buying journey with ease.

What I’ve discovered is that many first home buyers already know more about the process than they realize. They just need a bit of extra guidance to tie everything together so they can not only purchase their first home but do so with confidence—now and in the future.

My Story

Back in 2005, I was working full-time at a bank, dreaming of owning my first home. I was single, on a modest income, and had just a small deposit—but I wasn’t going to let that stop me. When I finally bought my home, I made so many mistakes that it ended up costing me more than I ever expected—in time, money, and stress.

By 2017, I had transitioned to running my own mortgage brokerage, driven by a passion to help first home buyers avoid the same pitfalls. I wanted to guide them through every stage of their journey—before, during, and after purchasing their home—so they could make informed decisions, avoid costly errors, and live a financially free life, achieving the milestones that matter most to them.

Why I Do It

Financial literacy wasn’t something I ever heard growing up. My parents did the best they could, but like many families, they lived paycheck to paycheck. Watching them struggle inspired me to aim higher, yet I still found myself overwhelmed with debt.

It wasn’t until I started working for one of the major banks that I began to understand the ins and outs of money—things like interest, taxes, and leveraging. I realized that the average Australian, unless they were taught these things at home, would never know. That’s what motivated me to take what I’ve learned and share it with as many driven people as I can.
